Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Ladies,

I am going to a shower on Friday for a friend having her 2nd child. We are supposed to bring some advice to share on parenting two kids. It's been so long and my brain is so fried, I can't think of anything at all. Anybody have any advice I can pass along?

Read to the older child while the baby nurses.

Show the older child how to show the baby affection by touching/kissing the top of the baby's head gently (to avoid poking baby eyes and drooling baby hands.)

Carry the baby in a sling. The baby get's mommy closeness needs met while mom give older child attention.

Help older child to become mother's helper.

Have fun a the shower, Michelle.

Love,

My advice to people (especially when they aren't Catholic or have fallen away) is to make no decisions about your family size until the youngest is at least 4. I have known too many people that get overwhelmed with the jump to 2 or 3 and live to regret their decisions.
