I think you should call this one:
4RealLearning Conference-East
cuz I am bound and determined to have Willa put one on in the West , and we can call it:
4RealLearning Conference-West
.......someday
Congratulations!!

We are having one this June in Denver we can call 4RealLearning Conference - Mid-America
So it isn't exactly 4 Real but Elizabeth is going to be here (and Kim F., Gwen, Michelle M., Kristin, Jessica, Jennifer S., Marianne, me, and hopefully Mary G., as well as some others I'm not sure about yet). The more of you that come the more we can make it "4Real!" We can tack on some extra time together before or after the conference. Really do think about it - it's a rare treat to have Elizabeth anywhere in the West.

I am wondering if anyone involved in planning could share a bit about what you have planned? I'm wondering if it will be 2 days or 1, and if this is a 'bring the family' occasion or more a 'moms and nursing babies only' occasion?
Thanks!

We are looking at talks and discussion and Mass on Saturday and then a casual brunch in the park early Sunday. We'll have a rock and romp room for nursing babies and (hopefully) some local teenaged girls to help out here and there. But Saturday is definitely the day dads and kids should plan an event away from the conference.

Well, I am really disappointed! It looks like I won't be able to make it after-all. That is the weekend before my mother's 70th birthday and my dad wants us to throw a surprise party for her. So, it's looks like I am hosting a party and probably several house guests.
I would like to imagine that I could sneak out for awhile, either Saturday or Sunday, but when it comes down to the day, I know how chaotic it will be here.
Any possibility of tapes of the talks?

I agree with Theresa! I'm disappointed. My mil's 80th birthday is the next weekend, otherwise I'd be in the same boat.

I wanted to mention that this conference is open to all homeschoolers (and those considering). You don't have to be a member of the board to attend. I know there are some local lurkers that would be interested in coming, and by all means, please come!

I'll talk to Mike about tapes. We may be able to do that.

I've actually invited a couple of homeschooling friends who don't participate in these boards...maybe we could all try to pass the word to a friend or two!
Tapes would be cool...

Speaking of that - do we have flyers or announcements out yet? Is there a website advertising it that I could link to?
Thanks

Flyers and websites are part of the plan! We'll post here when they are ready!! It would be fun if we could all bring a friend or a lurker!

Are there any more details available for this? We have a small group interested in coming and are curious about details so we could make travel plans etc.
Thanks!!
