I'm writing this here and asking what to do because it has been so frustrating.

When we moved here to TN, I ordered a sample of this magazine and loved it. Then I ordered a subscription. Being somewhat scatter-brained, almost a year later I realized none had come yet. I went back in my pay-pal file and found that I did pay them so I went to the site looking for information. I left a request on their website and I called and left a message. Nothing. So, I thought to come here and ask if they went out of business. Someone said someone had gotten their magazines, so I waiting. The next thing that came that week was a routine subscription notice. Then a mass e-mail about a survey for their magazine. I replied to that e-mail and told them I had never received any magazines. Some man replied back to me and asked if I wanted the issues that I missed or would I like to start with the coming issue. I asked for back issues and told them when I received them I would happily renew. So, more waiting and after two months I called again and left a message. I didn't think the messages were rude, just stated slowly, like the recording asks you to do, my name and number and that I have been missing magazines. Finally they mailed me a letter (with my name spelled incorrectly) and a check. They said that if I wanted to get the magazine to return the check to them and if not to cash it. Well, I wrote a letter stating that I did want to subscribe, but I really needed to talk to them because I felt there was a problem with the mailings (obviously since they claimed they went out!) I never heard anything. The check was dated January 6. I heard nothing back and deposited the check in April. Today in the mail it comes back with a $4.67 fee as well for insufficient funds in their account.

Once again I called and left a message, but I suspect I will never hear from them. What would you do in this situation?

OK, now that I have posted this, I just now got a call from the person. His poor wife is overwhelmed with everything and they are going to rectify the situation. Now I am asking for prayers and I told the man I would keep them in our prayers here because I understand overwhelmed all too well.

I just happened to look at their website last night and it looks like they have had some difficulties lately and are not currently publishing but will send back issues (they are not date specific articles) to new subscribers.

I had a subscription one year and have 4 issues - they are nice large magazines with lots of stuff in them - very classical. Some included a CD with about -4-5 songs on them - some classical, some folk songs, etc.

I just put them on Cathswap to sell (very discounted) b/c I just didn't use them, but I think they are a great resource for some people.
