Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I'm painfully aware that writing is my weakness. As time passes, it seems to be getting worse!    In college, I earned A's in comp, but now, no one would ever know it. I've regressed from the fifth grader tested at a college level vocab to single syllables. It takes forever just to write a paragraph. Brain cells have died from not being used. Seriously, my brain feels foggy instead of sharp.

I'm considering enrolling in an evening class or hiring a tutor. An evening class probably wouldn't work because DH needs to be in bed earlier than I'd get home.

Any suggestions on where to look for a tutor? If I asked at the community college, would I just call the English department? add in the paper?

Any community college website should have their available courses listed on their website and may have online writing classes, which always helps around here for fluctuating schedules.

I've actually been considering doing something like this myself. I am technically "in school" right now myself (independent study and online courses only), but the writing level they require is so basic. Next year (master's degree level) I'll be required to write on a much higher level. I just need something simply for the sake of writing, so that I'm being judged primarily on that, rather than only the ideas presented.
