Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

FYI - My dh runs a bunch of summer basketball camps for boys at Seton School in Manassas, VA. (90% of the boys who attend the camps are Catholic too.)

So if your boys love basketball, check out his camp page:
DVW basketball camps

If you want to know what camp would be good for your son's level, just drop him an e-mail that is listed on his site.

Also - other Seton coaches run camps for various sports/other activities for boys and girls. When all those activities are posted on Seton's website, I'll post the link here for those that are interested.

Ooo, thanks for posting this!! I'll keep my eyes peeled for the other sports camps when they come up, too.

A little, unaffliated plug (since I don't know MaryAn nor her husband). I have heard great things about the basketball camp at Seton.

Thanks for the info, MaryAn.

Thanks ladies...I'll post the link in the next couple of weeks.
And that was nice of you Jen to give a plug!

Just FYI some of the other camps that they have (and for those on a budget - they are MUCH cheaper than any other camp I've seen in the area): baseball, girls basketball, volleyball, a Math camp, and Mrs. Carroll (of history fame) runs an excellent writing camp, and a girls singing camp.

  • Time: 9 - noon

  • Cost: $75 ($65 per additional child)

  • Call the school 703-368-3220 for more information.

I run a singing camp for girls:
