As a graduate of Virginia Tech (1985), my heart and prayers are with those families and friends affected by the horrible events of yesterday. God bless all of you.

My husband was so upset (and wrote Fox to tell them) about the news coverage. It was too bloody -- how can family watch that? They hadn't called the families of those who died, yet there were faces all over, which could really upset those who might have a son or daughter at the school. I didn't turn the news on, because I knew it would be graphic.

I've been on this soap box lately. The main page of the newspapers have gory pictures, something I don't want my son to see, even in passing. Why? Are we trying to do a shock factor, or is it that we're so numb to it all it means nothing?

Grrrr...it's just an awful tragedy, and I want to think and pray for the victims and their families. I just despise that it becomes a media feeding frenzy.

Eternal rest, grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May their souls, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

I did watch not the coverage during the day yesterday. Our power kept going on and off due to the wind otherwise I probably would have been right in front to the television.

I was put off by the local CBS 11:00 news previews. They were in black and white with music. It seemed to me they went out of their way to almost glamourize the tragedy. I can't find the right words but it really rubbed me the wrong way.

I am just praying.

This is just heartbreaking not to mention how much it disturbs all of us. I cannot imagine the pain for all those directly affected. The devil knows how to really work his terror, especially after a nice Divine Mercy Sunday.

I'm praying. . .

PS I didn't watch anything but was so disturbed by just reading about it.
