Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

How often do you clean out your bathroom sinks? I want to do this daily (just a wipe down). What do you use?

Well with all the reports about too much anti-bacterial stuff, I don't know if this is a good idea..

But I keep a container of those Clorox Disinfecting Wipes in the bathroom (or the store bought version). They're expensive, so I try to get them on sale, bulk stores, etc.

How do you all clean wooden blinds? And ceiling fans?

I don't know about wooden blinds, but I use a swiffer to clean the ceiling fans. It works great.

Ugh...I only notice that my ceiling fans need cleaning when I turn them on and dust starts flying...and you know that takes a lot of dust for that to happen. It's just that it's out of my sight range.

So since it's so infrequent and I'm so disgusted, I use Murphy's oil and a rag -- but KC's Swiffer idea seems like a better option.

I use rubbing alcohol to clean the sinks and toilet with a wad of toilet paper. No rinsing and dries quickly.

I try to clean my sinks daily. When I'm doing the shower, brush teeth, etc. kind of things, I spray the sink and counter area with vinegar water and wipe it off with an old washcloth that is now a rag. Once a week I wash the bathroom cup and wipe off the soap dispenser with a paper towel. Whenever there are toothpaste splashes/speckles on the mirror, I wipe it with windex and a paper towel (a couple of times a week) and then use the windex-dampened paper towel to shine the faucets.

Peace,
Nancy

Sink and countertop daily, at least, with disinfectant wipes.

Bathroom sinks and mirrors are my 8 yo ds' chore. He cleans them every morning with a spray bottle of club soda and a microfiber cloth. I taught him how to hang the cloth so it will dry, then it gets washed at the end of the week.

Clorox wipes. Daily, or at least I try to do it daily. I also do the potty (last, obviously), because it's on the way to the trash can and it gets yucky fast if I don't swish and/or wipe daily.

I just wipe down the sink and countertop with a wet washcloth, like Jodie. I use a cleaner (Ajax and 409) during my weekly cleaning.

Get r done!

I do as Dawn does ... daily wipe down of sink and surfaces with a cloth and hot water. Weekly cleaning with a spray cleaner. That's about it!

ETA - that daily cloth gets hung over the shower door to dry and then goes right in the laundry.

Thank you, everyone!!! I have 4 sinks that are used on a daily basis and the cleaning has been getting to me. It seems like such a no brainer to just use water for a daily cleaning and then to do a deep cleaning once a week.
