Community Bulletin Board Guidelines
Welcome to the Community Bulletin Board. This forum reflects current events of our 4Real community. It's a friendly place to sell and buy educational materials, a place for promotion of cottage industries and businesses (includings sales), a place for self-promotion (blogs and websites), and a place to share time-sensitive community interests, such as sales, polls and giveaways. Only signed-in members can view this forum, and posts will automatically be deleted in two months.
Please note that you have to be a registered member of the board and have posted over 12 messages before you may post in this forum. We want to continue the intimacy of the 4Real board. For all sales, these should be viewed as friend-to-friend transactions, but recognized as fully valid business transactions.
Please note that 4Real is not responsible for what is posted in this forum, nor does this board endorse any products. 4Real is not able to guarantee the content, condition, or availability of any items advertised in the Community Bulletin Board. 4Real is not responsible for lost or damaged packages or failed transactions, and has a grievance policy in place to assist members. The 4Real Board is not responsible for money exchanges that fail.
All materials should be suitable: nothing anti-Catholic or offensive in content. 4Real reserves the right to remove questionable posts.
In following the Church's warning against reading and/or studying the philosophy or pedagogy of Anthroposophy or Rudolf Steiner programs, such as Waldorf, the sale, exchange of materials, or sharing of links related to those philosophies will be excluded from this forum.
If you have a question about a material as it relates to this policy please contact the moderator of the Community Bulletin Board forum by PM.

Instructions for Buying, Selling or Trading Educational materials:
This forum allows you to trade, sell or post one-to-one exchanges of your own used educational materials. "Educational materials" in the home learning environment is a broad term, encompassing books, workbooks, tapes, dvds, cds, posters, manipulatives, etc. Selling photocopies of copyrighted documents is prohibited. Please Note: This forum does NOT allow trading or selling of clothes (including cloth diapers).
Those who sell books or other materials as a side business should post in the Business Card Thread and not in the general board. See note below under Cottage Industries for further instructions.
- Subject: In the subject line of your post, write FS (For Sale) or FT (For Trade) or WTB (Wanted to Buy) and the name of the item or items. You may list more than one item in each posting.
- Description: Because of the lack of public feedback and photos, please describe items as accurately as possible. If an item is damaged or has any condition flaws, please be honest and forthcoming, providing an accurate description of the item offered. Describe the item, as well as the condition of the item, using a rating system of excellent, very good, good, fair, or poor. If a book, describe if it is hardback, paperback, writing, turned down edges, water damage. Also mention if it has a dustjacket, what kind of condition it is. Is this a former library book? If you have a link to a similar item, such as on Amazon, post the link. Please note if the book is from a smoking home or home that has indoor pets (allergy reasons). You may post more than one item on the same list.
- Postage and Payment: Post your price and postage amounts. Keep in mind what is best and cheapest for both buyer and seller. Media Mail is the typical method for books or media, but other materials need another type of postal service. Give payment options: Paypal, check or money order, etc.
- Timely Transactions: Please mail packages promptly. Typical turnaround is 2 days to a week maximum after receiving a check and depositing, or receiving a Paypal payment. Please contact buyer if there is a change or problem or delay in shipping. Your transactions reflect your reputation, and your membership. Do not sell items if you foresee problems getting to the post office in a reasonable time.
- Communication Is Key: Take extra steps to communicate to the buyer/seller. A courtesy note on receiving payment, or shipping packages, or receiving packages, etc. is always appreciated by buyers and sellers. Communicate any problems to make any necessary arrangements. 4Real has no rating system available. All transactions are based on Christian honesty, which is the highest standard possible.
- Contact Information For security reasons and to keep this a member operated forum, do not post your email addresses in the post. An interested buyer will contact you with a Private Message (PM).
- End of Transaction: After an item is sold (or pending payment to ship), please edit the subject line to either SOLD or SALE PENDING (pending payment). The moderator will delete the sold threads.
If your post contains more than one item and only some are sold or have a sale pending, send out another message in the same thread listing the items that are gone and/or remaining.
- Two Month Listing: Please note that each listing will be deleted after two months if it hasn't been sold before this time period. You will receive a reminder email one week before the deletion date.
