This Saturday Our Lady was so present to me and taught me so much...I was overwhelmed with grace.
For many reasons, just part of living life, I was feeling very anxious and down on Saturday afternoon. I was frustrated with my husband and frankly feeling unappreciated and criticized. The noise from the kids was making my head hurt. The last straw was after an hour of
trying to get the baby to nap, and finally having her drift off to sleep, my 11 yo dd woke her up by banging on a door. I admit, I yelled. Why that would be helpful for the baby I'm trying to help sleep, I'll never know. I put the baby in her arms and told her she would need to hold her as I had to start dinner.
I did this very reluctantly. My husband was napping and I was angry at him. He had made a big fuss about wanting three things on his plate for dinner, a "real" dinner he calls it (don't ask, he can be a strange , difficult man sometimes ).
So I'm grumbling and feeling like I want to cry and decide I should pray the rosary as I'm preparing the meal. I ask Our Lady to help, that's it just help me. I start cooking and praying. Suddenly I find myself taking great care in preparing the meal, working hard to make sure it all tastes as good as I can make it. The anxiety and sadness start leaving me.
Well, to sum up, my husband was so appreciative of his dinner and suddenly seemed to "know" that I needed to hear how much he enjoyed it and more importantly the effort I had put into it mattered to him.
And even more of a blessing, I could almost feel the grace at work throughout, almost like a physical reaction. It was awesome.
I don't know that I would have this moment had I not started this little walk here with you ladies. And so I thank you deeply, with evrything in my heart for yor prayers and friendship. Please know that I keep you all close to my heart each and every day

Maria, that is beautiful. And good for you for responding to the prompting you felt from Our Lady.
You know, I always tell my children that "obedience makes you happy in the long run." I love this reminder from you that if we obey *our* Mother, we will feel that happiness too.

That really touched me. I often feel that way. Now I'm going to say a rosary when I'm feeling irritable. Thank you for sharing with us.

Maria, thank-you for this lovely story. What a great moment of Grace! I have found myself in many a foul mood, wanting to just whine or cry or complain (and by the way, my own husband told me jokingly that he feels the words "What's for dinner?" are BAD BAD words in our home some days )
Sometimes the only prayer that I can manage is, "Blessed Mother, I just want to SCREAM! Please help me" And ALWAYS there is a turn around, many times not in my surroundings but in my attitude !
Thanks again for sharing!

Thank you, Maria, this was a touching story.
I've prayed the rosary through the deliveries of all my children - why didn't I think of praying it while I was doing dishes before! I needed this reminder - Thanks.
