Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I didn't know which forum to post this in. Moderator, feel free to move it, if necessary. Just wanted to share the following for those who may be interested.

Here is a type of prayer group that some may wish to institute in their parish. It is simple in design and is meant to be flexible to allow for participation by families weighed down with the busyness of life. It uses the following format. Groups of about 3-4 couples meet once a month in someone's home for spiritual nourishment. Couples then rotate to another "group" each month. This allows for all couples to experience fellowship with each other. The meetings consist of a relatively short spiritual reading followed by reflection, discussion and prayer intentions. The reading for the meeting is picked by the host couple. It can be from the Bible, Catechism, writings of the Saints, encyclicals, or really any spiritual writing. To keep things simple, no reading is required before the meeting; the short spiritual work is presented at the meeting. Following the reading, all pause for reflection and then engage in discussion. The meeting closes with informal prayer and petitions. Take care to keep certain items in confidence unless specific permission is granted.

Usually the meeting is in the evening post dinnertime or some may elect to meet on Saturday during the day. It is important to keep things simple for the host family so that the meetings do not become burdensome. Therefore, generally only coffee, tea, or just water are offered. Some may wish to have a snack or small dessert. However, the point is that nothing other than the reading and fellowship is "expected" from the host family. Of course, a sharing of a meal or dessert may be chosen for a special occasion as well as a meeting with all couples once or twice a year.

The date of the meeting is flexible--each month the individual groups work out a date that is best for them. Generally only nursing babies are allowed. An alternate form of the meeting may involve only men and only women. This may make it easier for those who do not have built-in babysitters or who have difficulty getting a sitter.
