Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Hello,
What a gracious site! I just wanted to say that I am a recent convert, three years this Easter. I watch a lot of EWTN. I was watching, i think "Women of Grace" this summer and she had a guest discussing St. Louis Demontfort's True Devotion to Mary.

I had to get it and boy am I glad I did! I was going through a dark time when I picked it up and the graces I feel it has given me since then are unspeakable. Just to know that we can give everything to our blessed mother good and bad is too much for words.

I am still stumbling along my journey and have soooooo much to learn but each day, when I cling to our blessed mother and Jesus giving my life to them, it makes the everyday things much more real and doable.

Just wanted to share. God bless.

My late sister-in-law was received into the Church in a parish dedicated to St. Louis de Montfort, and she, like you, took great comfort in his devotion to the Blessed Mother. I am so very thankful that there has been a resurgence in devotion to Our Lady in the last couple of decades.

Next month is dedicated to the Blessed Mother...she is truly a treasure we should all seek, especially in troubled times.

(And, of course, welcome, Celeste! I'm looking forward to future conversations with you!)

Hello Celeste
Welcome
It is amazing what a little spiritual reading, especially St. Louis de Montfort, can do to provide encouragement to the soul.

I have also found St. Alphonsus di Liguori, St. John Eudes and St. Peter Julian Eymard remarkable writers and saints. (St.Maximimilan Kolbe is pretty nifty too.)

Hi Celeste! Thank you for sharing, it's lovely to hear how the True Devotion affects others and their spiritual life...I'd love to know, as a convert, what was your greatest happy surprise or 'ah ha!' moment in the spirituality?

For Lent, I am reading to my children, Mary Fabyan Windeatt's book on the lIfe of St Louis de Montfort and I've been reflecting on the, "pouring the mold vs carving the statue" analogy again...it always resonates with me and the children and I've been thinking about it for weeks..
