Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Got this from Gretchen (who also posts at this forum ) on FB.

We have the same reaction. Whaaaaat.

BPA-Free Plastic Containers May Be Just As Hazardous

I think JennGM and others have expressed concerns about BPA here before?

Sigh.

Just don't tell me that stainless steel and glass are just as bad. That is what we drink out of 9/10.

Of course, we use melamine bowls. Apparently, it is highly acidic or very hot foods that absorb the melamine, so I can't justify getting rid of them. We just can't keep up with the bowl breakage when we are all using ceramic! It was heart wrenching, really, to see so many mixing bowls bite the dust.

Frustrating. I do try to move our stuff to plastic free....I haven't really been convinced by the BPAfree label.

But the main importance is to not heat in the plastic. Baby steps, I guess. That to mean would mean those water bottles that stay out in the sun.

I need to get new stainless bottles, but it's such an expense and hassle so we stick to our old pitiful stainless ones.
