I 'd like to ask for advice on some home projects we're going to be starting soon. Our house has only one bathroom right now (for soon to be six children), but space for another in the basement. We'll probably fix up the family room/playroom down there while we're at it. Are there any remodel projects that made life easier for you ? Any additions that really helped, or that you'd recommend?

How about 2 bathrooms down there?!       With only 4 children and 3 full baths, I realize it's a luxury by many but I can't imagine living without them!

Depending on how much "stuff" you keep (clothes to pass down, books, toys) maximize storage. Ikea bookshelves are great (billy, expedit, kallax) if you haven't already checked those out).
