I've been trying to use my aprons more frequently, and this weekend I bought a few vintage half aprons which were cute and functional.
Right now I pile my aprons in a drawer and pull out what I need for the "job" (full coverage, etc.). But it's messy, and I need the drawer for other things.
So I was thinking adding some hooks in the nearby mud room, but not sure how best to hang half aprons.
How do you keep your aprons at hand but out of sight?

I don't keep them out of sight.. I use an over the door coat rack type of dealiebob.. and tie a bow in apron strings and hang them on the back of the door in the kitchen. I like the pretty colors.. and I think it adds to the festive feel in the house when I put out my Christmas aprons instead of just the others. I think someone else here (Jen?) also mentioned hanging them in view because she finds them pretty to see there.

I hang my aprons out in the open in my kitchen. I used simple brass cup hooks and affixed them to the bottom of my wooden spice rack (which is actually a re-purposed...*upcycled* CD organizer). I like varying them depending on the season, and I love displaying my vintage aprons.

That looks lovely, Jen.
I keep my cookbook holder on top of the fridge, toward the edge, and hang my aprons on the little book support hook by the apron ties. Since they hang to the side of the fridge they aren't really visible from most of the room, but they do look nice and are easy to grab. Of course every apron has to come down when I want to use the holder

Jen, what fun to see your vintage aprons. Is one of them crochet?
I hang mine from a hook in the pantry- in the old house, I hung them in the laundry room. I just throw all of them on the hook, half and full aprons together. I guess it would be prettier to use a hook for each style.
I wouldn't dare try to take a picture, because unlike Jen's lovely pastels, mine are very LOUD, bright prints, generally left over from other sewing projects. And with all of them on the same hook, wellllll...

I hear ya...mine wouldn't make a pretty picture either - hanging in the stairwell all on one hook. 
But I want to be Jen Mack, I really do, working on that... I am on an apron making kick again and maybe, just maybe will have a few more pretty ones to "display" in some more attractive manner soon...

I don't have any blank walls either, but if I did, I would totally do this.
I also like this on a door. It is more practical for most kitchens.

Okay, the visual helped me so much! All this time I've been thinking a door only holds one hook. That last picture is very helpful! I can hang much more! Well, I've got a door, and I just need to decide behind or in front (visible or invisible).

What about a drying rack to display? Different racks can take up different amounts of space so maybe you have someplace one would fit.

Another thought...
How about in a vintage picnic basket - with one side open and a couple really pretty ones draping over the sides (or handle)
...or use some other pretty basket - ideas in Jen's ever popular "Your favorite basket" thread (Bump... )

Here is another hook idea. She has them at the end of a cabinet. Lots of aprons on a hook - really cute.

This idea to use them as curtains is really cute. From Lisa's Creative Designs - she is creative!
Then this variation is really cute also, but they would be unusable like this since it is more permanent.
