Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

DS (19 yr) wants me to get a grill. But they scare me! I don't want to deal with charcoal and propane just plain frightens me! Am I being silly and paranoid?

Yes.
Propane grills are actually very safe and oh-so-easy to use. Much less messy than charcoal, too. Do you have a friend with a grill you can ask to demonstrate for you? I think once you see how easy they are you will be won over.

I guess I am worried about leaks and explosions. But then I thought - I never worry with my gas stove (natural gas yes, but still can have leaks .. .). There was a fire near here once last year - propane tank was stored in the garage (a no- no) and exploded. I fear I will be to paranoid to use it! BUT - charcoal cooking can cause cancer!
