Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I have a recipe or two that calls for one of these. There is a good deal on amazon for the cuisinart blender. Before I buy one, I wondered what else I could use it for? It doesn't look like it could chop frozen strawberries for smoothies....or could it?

ETA: blender at Amazon

I have a Bamix that I use almost ever day!

I love lattes (that perhaps in an understatement) and I use it to froth my milk.

I use it for soups.
I use it for smoothies, although I use my blender for this more.
I use it to mix my oil and vinegar based salad dressings.
I use it to make whip cream.
My dh uses it to mix up his protein drinks.

I am sure I have used for other things...but this is the bulk of them!

No, If you rinse it off right after you use it!
Yes, If you let the food get dried on. However, nothing a bit of hot water and a good little scrub brush can't deal with

It is wonderful for soups, but I haven't tried any of the other options. Now I want to though

I use mine a lot also. I have a very cheap one but it still gets the job done. Cream of broccoli soup, black bean soups, milkshakes, tomato sauce, pear butter, applesauce. I use the knife attachment to make bread crumbs and chop nuts. It's definitely an appliance I couldn't do without!

Jodie, we use ours for soap making! I just got a new one yesterday. Our 15 year old one finally gave out.

Kacky, ours sat around for a long time before we tried soapmaking. I guess I should have asked for ideas here!

I use mine for soups, salad dressings, smoothies, and for blending the liquid parts of batter recipes. It makes making banana bread so easy - it purees the bananas very well and mixes them wonderfully with the oil and eggs. I am a big fan of them - easy to store, easy to clean, easy to use.
