I may possibly have a way of getting some fresh from the tree pears, and will definitely need a way of preserving them. Honestly, we don't need butters and jelly/jams preserves. Got lots of those already (blackberry, peach, strawberry). I am thinking along the lines of simple canned pears. But since I've never done them before...any advice would be appreciated.

Again, I may not be allowed to take them, but then again, if I am, I want to be prepared!
