Hi everyone, I have a dilemma, and I'm sure someone here will have great advice! Our naughty dog has decided that it is great fun to flip her food bowl over, sending kibbles flying around... Anyhow, some always seem to end up under the washer and dryer. Does anyone have any tips for getting under there and cleaning it out, without having to physically move the appliances??? My swiffer doesn't fit- there's not enough clearance. And I tried using a sheet of cardboard, but it keeps getting caught in the legs of the washer and dryer.
Uuugh. Unfortunately, we don't have an alternate place to put her food bowl. Maybe I need to get one of those heavy duty weighted ones.

only way I know to really get under them is to move them. You might try raising them a bit so you can sweep under them.. like setting them up on 2x4 or such.
You might also try after a good cleaning underneath.. running some sort of tape (colored duct tape maybe so it'll blend in some) around the bottom edgs so nothing can get under there.

For kibble  (btdt) a yardstick might work.
It is stiff enough to hit the kibble out the front like we do with our fridge kibble and stove kibble.

Oooh! I knew you all would have great ideas. Anne, I had not thought of a yardstick. I'm sorry you have fridge kibble and stove kibble! My dog will actually LOOK at me to make sure I'm watching when her paw goes up to tip it. She's quite proud of herself. 
Duct tape is a great idea, too, Jodie. Actually, maybe I'll duct tape her bowl to the floor. With my luck, though, she'd try to tear at it and eat it... leading to bigger problems... 
Time to find the yardstick and tape! Thanks for the ideas...

Not that I'm trying to scare you, and I'm not sure what climate you live in, but be sure to clean all the dog food out........
We bought a house several years ago (in southern PA) from an elderly lady, who had a dog. She never cleaned under the appliances and when we moved them (we had bought new ones.) The old dog food, which was under it, was crawling with carpet beetle larva!
The tiny little larva, almost tiny enough to miss seeing, look like small balls of lint. (weird!)
We of course cleaned it all up. But we had problems with them forever after that. They got into any open packages of food and crumbs on the floor. We had to check all our food before we would eat it. I had to keep all bagged and boxed foods in the fridge. They were all through the house from basement to attic.
We called several exterminators, but they all said that they are very hard to get rid of once they get that bad.
Oh and they LOVE dog and cat food.....You can bring dog and cat food home from the store with the beetle larva already in them.
That was not pleasant to live with! 
(Oh and watch out for the carpet beetles cousin the saw-tooth grain beetle...They can be just as bad!! But those are only a fear for people like me who live next door to a grain mill!!!! Two nights ago I moved out my stove and cleaning under it, I killed about 300++ of them!!!!  Tiny beetles like me!!!!!!  )
