Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I love this post from the Modest Mom.... she takes you inside her closet on video. Fun to watch, and I thought her clothes were cute!

That is what I was thinking, too. It's mainly skirts and tops, not even dresses, and everything seems to mix and match pretty well.

Recently I actually had my husband remove my closet! I had two of those long closets with the double doors on each. Funny because I own 1 dress and 3 skirts, a few stained shirts and two sweaters, two pair or maternity blue jeans and a lot of worn out yoga pants to wear around the house that I would toss, but then I would only have the 1 dress, 3 skirts...you get the idea. I often lament looking stupid. I even prayed that the BVM would help me find clothes or have someone my size decide to purge their closet(that would require a miracle!!)once since I have no money to spend on myself and really no time to go shopping even if I DID have the money. (I am very tall and even when I find my size, I have always had trouble finding clothes to fit me, even when I was young and more fit.) The other day though, I just thought, well, at least I ain't naked, and I had to laugh. And isn't that the truth? I think of the people in Japan, Haiti and things like that..or..I could use this time when I feel silly for wearing the same thing to church every week as an opportunity for reparation for dressing so immodestly in high school!!! So, perspective has helped me not be too depressed about it. To everything a season. Right now is the season for dressing kids and hopefully I can be a fashion plate in the future for the grandkids!

On a funny side note, my Mom was voted best dressed in high school and I think it bugs her that I don't look fancy etc.

I love skirts, and have several that I wore before baby #3. Now that I'm 20 pounds heavier, I live in stretchy exercise pants. I can't wait until I can fit into those skirts again! It always lifted my mood to wear my skirts.
