I know a few of you have tried Gaps...any tips for this mama of many as to how to make things go-able for a crowd? Any timesavers to share?
Where do you purchase your nuts? Do you buy them in bulk and are they organic?
I am trying to get my head around this..I have a bit of a headache. Is there a GAPS made easy list somewhere??

If there is, I'd like to see it, too!!!
I buy nuts at Costco, but they are not organic. They are cheaper, though, I believe. Almond butter is also FAR cheaper at Costco than at the grocery stores in my area. $5.17 for 26 oz. as opposed to $10.15 for... hmm, 12 oz?
I've been buying coconut oil through amazon's Subscribe and Save... 2 15 oz tubs of nutiva for $11.51... which is over half off list price.
I know a lot of people like Tropical Traditions, though, and they often run sales.
I get almond flour from Honeyville Farms through Amazon, which seemed to be slightly cheaper than buying it direct, especially since I have amazon prime which covers shipping... (and probably tells you something about our book-buying addiction... er, habits. ) I would love to find it cheaper, though, as it is still ginormously expensive!!
I just bought a side of grass-fed beef from a local farm, soup bones included (!), for FAR cheaper than I could have bought the same amount and kind of meat at Whole Foods. We were stuck buying about 2 lbs of grassfed ground beef a week and that was it, which is completely un-GAPs-ish.
I keep meaning to see if there is an Azure Standard drop point nearby. I understand their prices on many things are good.

I think I am going to try the GAPS diet this summer, I am hoping it will help one of the boys especially. It looks a bit overwhelming and I would also like to hear about any experiences you may have had with GAPS.

Tropical Traditions has free shipping today only... but they do it periodically, so if you miss it today, it will come back around soon!

Here's the GAPS homepage. You have to click around a bit to get a sense of it, though.
I haven't gotten my kids (or myself) completely onto GAPS, but my husband and I are really trying hard to eat grain-free. I don't drink milk anymore, but I haven't been able to eliminate cream in my coffee. I've seen a LOT of improvement in my own health problems since we've been trying the diet. Sometimes we slip up and have pizza, but considering that we are not dealing with anything like autism, the slip-ups just seem to set us back a little without taking away from the overall benefits.

Hello. We are about to start GAPS. I know this is an old thread, but perhaps some of you can help me? I am thinking that when we are on intro we shouldn't take Holy Communion, (or perhaps just take the Precious Blood) but when on full GAPS we might use low gluten wafers. Do you have any thought on this.
Thanks,
Tricia.

I think that is probably accurate. We decided to go ahead and take the host since we didn't have any specific symptoms of inflammation from wheat, but we probably didn't gain the full benefits in doing that.
I thought I would share the resource that helped us do it most pleasantly, The Heal Your Gut Cookbook.
