Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I'm a Rowenta fan - my German friend has the $200 version and it's fantastic, and I plan to replace my icky iron with the $70 edition when it conks out.

I definitely recommend looking (and touching) at the sole plate, because a sole plate that catches on your hand will do the same on delicate fabrics.

I am also looking for a new one. My mom was dismayed when I said that was what I wanted for my birthday

Costco has a professional version. This has steam holes throughout the plate, and it's a really nice iron. Don't do what I did and buy a cheaper version of Rowenta. They aren't as nice.

If you buy a Rowenta make sure it is the good one. I bought the cheaper MIC one and didn't understand what all the Rowenta hype was about. Then I used my mom's good Rowenta and WOWIE! That thing is awesome. Now I wish I had done my research before buying mine Learn from my mistake

I LOVE my Oliso. I just think it is such a space saver. It is the best iron I have ever had (which isn't really saying much...).

This is late. You probably have already boughten one. But.....I like the dry iron from Vermont Country Store. It gets good and hot, and I can use spray bottle or spray starch to compensate for the dry.
