Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I am thinking of serving sliced apples with a homemade dip as part of our lunch for Nicholas' baptism party this coming Sunday.

I am wondering how do I store them until ready to serve? I know about putting them in lemon juice to keep them from turning brown, but then they are SO sour. Do I just rinse it off when putting on them on the platter?

This seems so ridiculous and like I should have a clue, but I don't.

I put them in a bowl filled with water and then add a bit of lemon juice and then drain them off. They aren't sour that way.

I've also read of people dipping them in Sprite.
