Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Has anyone tried using one of the multi-tiered, large steamers to prepare a meal? I'm still looking for easy, make ahead meals, and it looks tempting to cut up veggies and meat, put the steamer racks in the fridge, pull it out at dinner time and steam away!

Of course, I am also wondering if this will inspire yet another crockery-cooker-style rebellion in my family! Dh, bless his heart, doesn't complain, but he really doesn't care for most crockery cooking...

We do like Chinese style foods, and a lot of those are steamed anyway. But I am hesitant to purchase an appliance that will end up being donated because it didn't do what I expected. Can I really count on it for a full meal? Will the veggies overcook in order to get the meat done?

Thanks!
