I have no clue what's for dinner yet. I'm thinking hamburgers. Grocery shopping was postponed because of sick ds and doctors' appointments.

I'm looking for a tasty potato salad that doesn't use mayonaise or any kind of egg or dairy (or wheat). Anyone have a recipe?

Salsa chicken is yummy.

Jenn, I wish I had a recipe to share - dh despise mayo, so you'd think I would have one, but I don't.

We're probably having pasta - I can make sauce and bread ahead of time. I'll cook up some Italian sausage and those who like it can add it to their sauce.

French potato salad doesn't have mayo. Just white wine vinegar, olive oil, fresh herbs like tarragon and parsley and salt and pepper, a bit of mustard.

Or try German -- similar, but topped with bacon bits and chopped scallion.

Dill is a favorite addition to potato salad with our family. We don't have it often, though, because dh despises both mayonnaise and potatoes!

Peace,
Nancy

We had American hot dogs tonight! One of our priests said he missed American hot dogs, and I found some at Costco. So I served it with chili, sauerkraut, an assortment of relishes, cheese, potato salad (sorry, Jenn, this had mayo), coleslaw, salad and guacamole. Our priest told us avocados were used as a dessert in the Philippines (he is from Manila). And dessert was chocolate brownies with whipped cream. It was truly an American meal!

Yes, Carole, avocado is most definitely used as a dessert in the Philippines. You need to try an avocado shake sometime! Milk, ice, avocado and sugar (or substitute).

Was it Father Jay Jay B?

flank steak, mashed potatoes, red cabbage, peas, spinach salad and "too much chocolate cake" with homemade vanilla ice cream.

(The kids wanted to have a "We love Daddy party" so they've been cleaning the house and trying to think of all of his favorites!)

Now I want potato! Everyone seems to be having potato tonight and I'm out of them. I suppose we can have brown rice.

Probably Korean pork in lettuce wraps here. Or chicken.... still deciding. And quick pickled carrots.

We had Burritos, rice and corn, since our team is playing Arizona tonight. Oh, I mean beating Arizona tonight.

Stef, yes, it was Father JayJay. He is wonderful. Although he is not a picky eater, I would love to learn to make a dish from your country. Any place I can go for ideas (hint, hint)?

Donna Marie, those sausage rolls sound so yummy!
