So my dh had this great idea that during the baseball season, we serve foods from the cities are team is playing against for away games. Fun, right? Only he doesn't do any of the cooking, and is no expert on regional cuisine. We've got a few notions such as Skyline Chili when our team plays Cincinnatti, Beer and brats when they play Milwaukee, and a few others. However, for some places, like D.C. and Houston, we've got nothing.
If you live, or have ever lived in an MLB city, can you share a food peculiar to that city? We would most appreciate it. Even American League cities!

Texas Rangers - Tex-Mex...fajitas, nachos, quesadillas, enchiladas, chips and salsa OR a nice steak
Toronto Blue Jays - poutine (gravy over french fries with cheese curds or melted mild cheese on top

For the Arizona Diamandbacks, their ballpark isn't known for any particular food - yet. It's relatively new and actually has *excellant food* of all types. So...I would go easy regional and make burritos with refried pinto beans and rice, chips and salsa, with a margarita or limeade.

I knew Angie would be right on this, like a short stop on a grounder.... 
I think it sounds like fun. We are home to the Colorado Rockies here! 
I was trying to think of regional food...we don't have much uniquely associated with us. One idea - "Rocky Mountain Oysters" - would probably not go over too well with most in the family (I know it wouldn't here ).
Another thought is buffalo burgers. Actually any wild fish or game including elk, venison, trout would be good options. Of course beverage of choice would be Coors beer - hmmmm...what to serve the kids

We root for the O's and Nats. (And Dodgers, my original home team. Not the Angels, though - they live in Anaheim.)
Baltimore is known for its crab cakes and other crab dishes. The ballpark's most famous eatery is Boog's BBQ (Boog Powell was a very famous O). We usually bring our own food, though, because the O's let you do that. Sno-balls (snow cones) are super-popular here - if you want to be an authentic Bawlmer local, you have to love them.
I haven't been to a Nats game, but Ben's Chili Bowl (DC's famous eatery) has a food stand in the stadium. A chili dog or chili-topped nachos would be authentically DC. (The stadium also has a kosher deli - a real one!) DC has such an amazing mixture of people that pretty much anything goes, really.
Dodger Stadium is known for Dodger Dogs. Plain old long hot dogs made by Farmer John. Yum. Practically everyone eats them.
This is an amazingly fun idea!

Seattle seems to be known for seafood and coffee
San Franciso for seafood and sourdough bread or chinese food

National League fans here...and we're close enough that I'll claim the Atlanta Braves! (Although...we're REALLY BIG Chicago Cubs fans!!!)
Southern fare is easy - you just need to channel Paula Deen for great southern comfort food!!
Of course!!!!!! You have to have sweet tea!!!!!!
I have a couple of ideas...how 'bout southern fried ham and eggs, and biscuits with lots of butter and jam, and grits! That would be a relatively easy meal to serve - it's just a very heavy breakfast type meal. Make sure you fry the ham, and definitely scramble the eggs in bacon grease or ham fat and you've got it!
Another more typical meal from down here would be fried chicken or southern fried steak...or chicken, homemade macaroni and cheese, and green beans.
Make sure everything has butter and serve it with sweet tea and it's authentic!
How fun!!!!!!!

Well...you got the important one, so the rest aren't as critical (speaking as a bias former Milwaukee resident). However, you might want to add in some cheese for good measure and make sure it's Johnsonville Brats and a local Milwaukee beer.
To add in other cultural aspects you might want to play some mood music as well by Alvin Styczynski!

I was definitely going to chime in with chili for the Nats! Or if you wanted to mix things up a bit, DC has really good international cuisine. Like a great Ethiopian scene, for example.

I had Boog's at Padre's Petco Park - YUM!
When I told my 14yo ds about this project he replied, "We'll be eating a lot of hot dogs!" He has a point  .
Brauts question...is it a must to put kraut on them?
And I'm proud to say that as of this writing, the National League is totally winning the food challenge! Now, if we can just win the All Star Game  .

Hot dogs for the kids for every game would seem to make sense. As a Seattleite, I agree with seafood and coffee, but of course, not just any kind of seafood and coffee. It should include salmon and Starbuck's coffee. Another option would be to do something Asian like japanese sushi or korean bulgogi or even phad thai as we have a huge Asian Pacific population and everyone eats asian food around here. But smoked or grilled salmon, apples anything and coffee would definitely be considered regional foods here. We also have wineries! Just to add a little more fun to the food hunt. Chateau St. Michele is probably the best known.

For Toronto, may I suggest poutine (pronounced the French way, "poo-teen")? It's oh so Canadian. Basically, it's gravy over french fries with melted mild cheese on top. It is so totally yummy!
You could get bagged frozen fries, cook them, then top each plate of fries with gravy (like, a light beef gravy, not turkey or chicken). There should be a decent amount of gravy but the fries should not be floating. Then, the cheese - ideally you would use small cheese curds but in the USA you would probably need to use shredded mozzarella or some other very mild cheese. NOT yellow cheddar. (Too strong.)
If you know anyone from eastern Canada and want to make a good impression, admit to knowing what poutine is...!!!

How have I lived without this?! In PA there are dive diners that serve fries and gravy - YUM! Talk about taking it up a notch with CHEESE!

Well, we are Cardinals fans. My dh is from here and I am a recovering Mets fan. (Born and raised outside NYC).
A true St. Louis tradition is Toasted Ravioli, which is actually breaded and deep-fried Ravioli, with Marinara for dipping. There's always Ted Drewes Frozen Custard for dessert. And of course, Budweiser or Busch to drink.
This is great. You guys are awesome! Keep the ideas coming and I won't have to plan very many meals this summer!
