Track practice starts today and I was surfing for crock pot recipes and found this gem. I LOVE it.
http://www.kitchenmonki.com/
It is a free menu planning program and it works for me so well.
I can plan my menu as time allows for the month, print the list for the days I am going to the store for, it has some South Beach recipes, and the other recipes look good and healthy, too! You can enter your own recipes. You can change the number of servings and it recalculates your shopping list.....oh joy!!!
I am sure I cannot do it justice. Those more computer savy can probably find more cool stuff in there. Oh, it can send your list to your (or dh's) blackberry type thing, too.
I am having such fun doing menu planning now.

All I read was "Kitchen monkey".
I have two. The regularly climb into my cabinets, pushing everything else out of the way, so as to make room for them...
LOL
Sorry. Just what this thread "said" to me...

cool...I'm checking it out right now. I definitely need a solution to our meals around here. I used to be so good about planning a dinner menu for the month. But honestly, it's breakfast, lunch, and snacks that are driving me batty. I feel like I'm constantly fixing food for somebody between the hours of 8am and 9pm! Maybe a formal menu for breakfast and lunch will help me a bit.

Hey I have those type of kitchen monkeys too!
Anne, this type of site always sounds so neat.. and then I sigh and realize that as neat as it is, it will never work because I would simply not want to eat whatever was planned simply because it was planned so far in advance.
