Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Honestly?

Fresh rain.

Unless I'm 9 months pregnant.

Then undiluted white vinegar is great.

;)

I stopped using newspaper because the ink made a mess. Although I do have a roll of newspaper I bought from our local paper. that might be something to look into if you're really committed to newspaper. I have linen towels that I use for cleaning the windows. They're lint-free and I have a ton of them so I don't have to use them if they get too scrungy!
I use Windex currently, but I've been trying to use up the bottle. I have a natural cleaning products book that recommends using club soda. Can't vouch for it personally yet, though!

for outside.. a squeegee with a sponge.. a bit of dishsoap in a bucket of water.

the squeegee takes most of the water off.. so just whatever soft cloth for drying the last bit of water on the windows is fine. As long as you rub the window dry then you don't have streaks.

Inside or outside, a squeegee works wonders.

oh and outside.. spray them off with the hose first.. that gets a lot of the grit off before you try and wash.
