Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Any advice? I bought a rug from TJ Maxx and I have to take it back because it is shedding like crazy! It's 100% wool and I think my husband is allergic! It is 9.6 x 7.6 feet for the living room. Where can I get a nice rug without spending a fortune?

I had good luck with Overstock too. We purchased a couple of 100% wool flat weave (no pile) rugs several years ago and they still look good.

Have you checked your carpet store? We just picked a very nice 10 x 12 for $99. It was a solid, but the orientals and other area rugs are far more reasonable than Lowes and the discount stores in our area. I was surprised.

We've used Overstock with great success. I bought indoor-outdoor rugs, actually, for several rooms in our house recently, including the dining room (figure that someday we'll get really nice rugs -- maybe -- but in the meantime we have kids and a big dog). I read customer reviews very carefully and only bought items which had received several glowing reviews. People will mention if a rug they've ordered sheds or otherwise causes problems. Anyway, we have been very happy with the rugs we got - being polypropylene, they're not as soft as a high-quality wool rug, but they look like nice dhurri-type rugs, and if things get spilled we can take them outside and hose them off. And they were very reasonably priced.

Overstock is very good about taking things back. And their shipping is free for the first order, and $2.95 thereafter.
