Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Ok, I don't know what is wrong with me, but I am incapable of just following a pattern as written. This would be fine if I had the skills to pull it off, but I don't.

I am making the gored skirt using this "Cute Skirts" pattern. It is an unlined skirt, and I would like to line it and lengthen in. Can someone help me figure out how and where to attach the lining?

The waistband is a little fussy on it. It has a stiffened, flat front and an elastic back. She has you handstitching the waistband pieces down. I was going to attach the lining to the waistband, but I think it will be too bulky and I can't figure out how to make it work with the waistband directions...

You want the lining loose? like an attached slip? If so.. you make the lining.. then put it and the skirt together.. baste them together.. and then treating them like a single piece you put together the waist band.
