Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Silly question but - how do you store christmas cookies in your house? Here I have some frozen and some not. The one's not frozen I have in a plastic rubbermaid container, But my kids tend to no close it properly. Anyone have a better way?

Mine go in tins that I've saved ~ popcorn tins.. ones I've been given with other things.. ones I've saved year to year etc. And they set in the garage, which this time of year doubles as a walk in refrigerator.

I'm sorry but I'm laughing hysterically at this. You can store your cookies? Ours are GONE by the end of the day!

We use bags saved from cereal boxes, then I either freeze them or put them in tins.

We were baking today and it was hard to not eat them all. Fortunately, I have one child who is adamant about the cookies being for Christmas not Advent! We did, of course, have to taste them to make sure we made them right!

Flash freeze on cookie sheets and then into ziplock bags. We have a strict 1 cookie a day policy during Advent too. When we didn't, Advent looked more like Christmastide.

I have mine in tins or other plastic storage, but this year I also added a layer of press and seal under the lid. I'm hoping they won't go stale. We are saving them for after Christmas Eve Mass and hopefully at least a few days into the season and I am really hoping they will still taste good. Most of them have been made in the last few days.

I have peppermint bark, fudge and magic cookie bars in the fridge. They have cling wrap under the lids as well.

We keep ours frozen as long as possible--for each day after Christmas, I just take some out for that day and let it defrost on the counter in a Rubbermaid container. Doing it day by day keeps it as fresh as possible.

My husband actually likes his cookies frozen, though, so his just stay in the freezer until he's ready for one!
