I just did this. Ladies, it was scary in there .
This weekend at the grocery store I could not find my frequent shopper card
(needed for all those buy one/get one deals....)
However, I could find, with no trouble at all...
a granola bar wrapper in two parts
three acorns
a totally smooshed and disgusting piece of gum
my shopping list from a trip to Target three weeks ago
several expired coupons...
oh, yeah... time for a clean out. So join me today..or tomorrow.
What's in your purse?

I cleaned my purse out this weekend too while waiting for my son to get out of his bagpipe lesson! I had an entire Walmart bag full of lists and receipts and what-not. My son was flabbergasted, "All this was in that little purse?!"
I feel so skinny and organized now.

I use a couple different purses depending on what I'm wearing and if I'm going out by myself or with the family, so mine gets cleaned out regularly.
That said, here's what's in there (that shouldn't be in there!) just from Mass this Sunday:
a couple megablocks (my baby's current favorite teether!)
two bibs
the church bulletin
two barrettes (one from each daughter)
coupons from Saturday's errands
an extra bottle of Purell

The last time I cleaned out my purse I found a piece of string cheese (still wrapped). I have no idea who put it there or how long it was there. I pledged to clean out 2x per month after that!

I have pocket issues...last week I found a bat cookie cutter in my jacket pocket
My purse is kind of small...so only so much will fit anyways. But I've asked for a bigger one for Christmas...we'll see how that goes!

OOOO, Mary - I recognize the Hobby Lobby and Target receipts!
I cannot keep my purse clean to save my life. Everything gets dumped in there. Besides a wallet, a few diapers, chapel veils, cell phone and keys, you would be sure to find too many receipts and lists to count, loose change, 3 chapsticks, yes, 3, because I always lose one, purchase another, and then find the one I lost... last weeks church bulletin, prayer book, hot wheels, haba teethers, chewed up prayer cards, and maybe, just maybe, my powder...

LOL, Mary. Your purse is similar to mine.
I have overflowing ATM and store receipts....
change and money just dropped in the bottom.
At least you use your wallet, Mary...all my cards ...debit, library (mine & kids), YMCA (again mine & kids)...everything just dropped into my purse.
cheerio crumbs
crayons
fruit snack wrapper
legos
