Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Does anyone have a Mole-recipe to share? Chicken Mole is what I'd like to make.

Found this recipe on the 365 Crockpot Blog.

Anyone else have something tried-and-true?

From scratch. Hmmm, that's an idea.
I use Dona Maria Mole in the Hispanic section of stores.

I'm interested in trying a "tried and loved" recipe, too.

I love Oaxaca moles the best . Ones with nuts , chili & nuts the best . Here is a simple recipe and more complicated version and this one looks good too .
I would love to come over and eat at your place I am far to lazy to attempt mole

Is there a store brand that doesn't include peanuts?

Love,

I know....I always thought I was too, but then I came across a couple seemingly easy recipes a few months ago, and wondered if you could make a not-so-authentic-mole that was good!

There are some at allrecipes.

Hey, can we change the title of this thread to "Mole recipes" - I came here expecting to read about a burrowing mammal or a skin growth (and figured we needed to move the thread ).

I thought the same thing yesterday . I didn't bother saying anything because I'm not a fan of mole (or moles) .

Oh my goodness!!!!!!!! You're RIGHT!!!!!!! That's so FUNNY! I just changed it! Sorry everyone.....

I did try the recipe I linked in the original post....in the crockpot with Chicken leg quarters. It was GREAT!! Everyone liked it! I added a couple Tablespoons of brown sugar, and substituted 1/2 cup wine for the 1 cup of water. Otherwise, followed it and it tasted good. Not authentic mole, of course....but it'll do!
