We had a few crazy weeks around here, I'm hoping things are settling down and we can get back on track. I have really missed having a dinner plan.
Tonight we are having rustic onion and lemon chicken or something like that. Dh and I watched the finale of The Next Food Network Star and Jim said, "That looks good!" So we'll give it a try. Melissa also made a potato gratin with swiss chees, dh loves swiss cheese so I may give that a try too.
What's cooking at your house??

Oooh! I saw that too, Mary Chris and I thought that potato gratin looked delish!
I don't have any chicken right now or I'd probably be trying exactly what you're trying tonight!
I'm still trying to figure out what to make tonight! I'm in a meal slump!!! I'm challenged by what is in the pantry...so I'll be reading here with interest today!
It's definitely going to be simple, and include lots of tomatoes in some way!

It is leftover night here because only two of us are eating at home. Sigh.

Probably soup...I have a bunch of bones from last night's grilled chicken I need to do something with. I know, soup when it's 100 degrees out is a little but I hate to waste them, and I could use some good healing broth.

Italian sausage, zucchini and onions on the grill. I am overrun with zucchini, so we're cooking the small ones and freezing or drying the large ones.

Kayleigh is home from Europe so tonight I'm cooking one of her favorite dishes.
Plain seasoned boneless chicken breasts, pork steak and sausage simmered all together in a skillet w/ onions and thick gravy poured over rice.
And a strawberry cake.

We would grill for St. Lawrence... but it's too hot.
So instead we're having grilled chicken leftovers.

Popping in to report that the rustic onion and lemon chicken was very, very tasty! all around. I served it with rice and a salad. Next time, I'll make the potato gratin.
