My dh bought some purple hull peas at the farmers market and I have no clue how to cook them. How do you cook them? any recipes you care to share?

Natalia--I used this recipe a lot last year when fresh pea varieties were available in the farmer's market--everyone loved it.

Ohhhhh!!!

I love purple hull peas. I haven't had them in years. I cook them just like fresh black-eyed peas. Boil in water and, of course, add bacon grease .
