It's a rainy, dreary day here in my part of the world. I think pasta will be on the table tonight. Maybe this one Pioneer Woman Pasta , it was a hit last time I made it. The garlic bread is super yummy too, I'll round it out with a big green salad. Though it means I have to go to the grocery store in the rain.

baked fish with 2 sides...salad (bagged with yummy dried cherries and blue cheese) and brown rice. Will have honey mustard sauce (equal parts honey, mustard, and cider vinegar) for fish and rice. Quick and easy!
Love,

Tonight's my dad's birthday so we're all gathering there for supper. My mom is making baked tilapia (for him) and steak (for everyone else!). I'm making a summer squash casserole as a side dish.

Mimi, I'd love to see what your mac and cheese lasagna is like, pretty please? Recipe?
We've having beef burgundy since it's overcast and cool (high of 80). I got a quarter of a cow in the freezer recently and I really want to try the stew meat. I have just enough red wine left to make our favorite stew recipe.
Enjoying a few quiets moments while the toddler is sleeping,

We are eating Syncletica's Swiss Steak:
1 1/2 lb steak (Cut into 6 servings)
2 C. grated carrots
2 stalks celery, sliced
1 onion, chopped
1 - 16 oz. can tomatoes
2 Tbsp each butter and oil
1/4 C. flour
2 t. dry mustard
salt and pepper to taste (quite a bit)
2 T. Worcestershire sauce
2 T. br. sugar.
Coat steak in flour, dry mustard, salt and pepper. Brown meat in 1/2 the oil and butter. Heat the remaining oil and butter. Saute onion, carrot and celery. Add tomatoes, Worcestershire sauce and br. sugar. Pour over meat. Cook on Low (200 degrees) for
6-8 hours. Serve with noodles.
YUM! YUM!

It was raining here for most of the day. And a bit cool. So I made chili, salad and Jiffy cornbread.

Oh Mrsgranola, you are going to laugh....
Get ready for it....
Preheat oven to 375
Make two family size boxes of Mac and cheese (whatever variety you would like). Brown 1 and 1/2 lbs of ground beef and add a jar to a jar 1/2 of red spaghetti sauce.
Now layer the sauce/meat mixture with the Mac and Cheese in a 9X13 pan. Top with Shredded Mozz (to your taste) Bake for 10-15 minutes until the cheese is melted.
THE best recipe for lasagna out there
