Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Tonight we are all having pizza just not together. Dd and I have a place to be, the boys have lacrosse and they'll pick up pizza or something on the way home.

We have had such miserably unhealthy dinners (fast food and nuke food) the last 2 nights that my dd was complaining that she felt run down.    Ds has a campout tonight, though, so he has to eat at 4:30. I'm sure hoping some of you ladies will inspire me to cook!

BTW, Mary Chris, Jenn and everyone, I love this daily kick-start to my dinner planning. I try to plan weekly menus but it's sure fun to get ideas and recipes here!

Kayleigh is cooking a Mexican dish tonight. A friend gave her the recipe but it doesn't have a name. We'll have to fix that.

And apple cobbler for dessert.

BBQ!

I actually have to go put together the Tomato Bread Salad soon so it can start marinating. Yum!

On the grill, we are having hot dogs (gag - but at least they are Sabrett's), hamburgers, and falafel (falafel on the grill is insanely good. I cheated, and got the packs of falafel that they have at Costco now. When we were grilling last week, I thought, 'hey, let's try this' and threw them on. Oh, my gosh. Just a little crunchy on the outside, soft and warm in the middle - perfect!!!!!)

On the side - tomato bread salad, baked potatoes, baked beans, hummus.....and what else? Maybe fruit salad?

and s'mores for dessert, of course!

We're having a Salmon, Broccoli and Rice Casserole with homemade Hollandaise sauce.

Okay, we have au gratin potatoes, corn and some varied main dish selections on the menu...not bad for a day full of ants, rescheduling, and campout prep! :)

Ds is happy, too - no greasy food!
