Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I am planning on having a "stock day" next week - have bought some grassfed beef and chicken soup bones. But I realize that my stock pot is way too small. Anyone have an idea of where I can get a big stock pot? I have seen some on Amazon - but was hoping to get one locally.

Thanks

It depends on what quality you're looking for but I have found big ones at Walmart in the past.

I second resturant supply stores. They do have great deals. However, I think that I got mine at Walmart just for making stocks. And I wanted stainless steel. I have used it for everything including brining my brisket and ham.

If you are in a rural area , you might try a feed/animal supply store or a True Value hardware store.

I second the restaurant supply route...and recommend Magnalite if it's in the budget. They cost a small fortune, but the ladies around here won't cook in anything else and many of them have had their pots since their weddings 30 and 40 years ago. I bought mine three years ago and am still amzed at how much I can cook at one time.

I have this one and this one and have never once regretted the investment I made in them, although I did have to swallow hard both times.

If you have a Tuesday Morning nearby they sometimes carry high quality stock pots cheap. I bought two there over 6 years ago and they are still in excellent shape.
