Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

We have a small, urban yard in a little city neighborhood. We'd like to try composting, but need it to be very compact and tidy. Can anyone give advice on composting in a small space? Thanks!

Worm bin (vermicomposting) or also, a Green Cone. Do you know about either/both of these, Lauri??? If not, I'll have some time to link later.

I don't know about either of them! Do you have any recommended sites? Otherwise I'll google and see what comes up. Thanks!

Here is a good post that I found helpful. She has several on the subject.

We bought a new NatureMill for $50 on craigslist last summer. I was intimidated by it, so I sold it several months later back on craigslist. You might want to check under the "farm and garden" section there for ideas.

Thank you all for your ideas and information! I see we can definitely have a small, tidy composting set-up. It's part of my youngest's curriculum next year (OM5 Enviro Sci) but I suspect she and Daddy may get started with it earlier, as he's very keen on the idea of composting!
