Tonight French Dip is on the menu with either tater tots or potato chips (it's our busy day )
The Hillbilly Spaghetti Pie got all around last night. I doubled the recipe, mainly because I buy meat in 1lb packages and I didn't want to split the meat. It made a lot. Dh took some for lunch and the kids and I will be eating it for lunch too. It was really tasty, and pretty easy.

We were supposed to have dinner at a music group potluck but that has been switched to desserts only...don't know what we will do now!
Off to check out spaghetti pie...or maybe I'll make tomorrow's soup today...

My menu rotation has come full swing so we are back to baked potato soup, veggie and meat tray, and I think Irish beer bread.

Thanks for the reminder. I need to go marinate my tenderloin.

Teriyaki flank steak, rice pilaf, and stir-fried vegetables. I need to go put my flank steak in the marinade, too.

Frittata of a style to be named later, veggie tray and toast.
Update: didn't happen. My son wanted to swim right after school, so we ended up at Subway. :-(

Smorgasbord I think.
I have a little meatloaf, a little potato soup, some bread, some sour cream smashed potatoes (I ran out of butter, and it was providence--these were so yummy), a smidgeon of black bean soup, peas, and I think I'll make rice.
Must put beans to soak for tomorrow or we'll starve

I'm not sure what we are having, something involving 2 lb of ground turkey...
Maybe I'll make meatballs...

Not exactly sure yet either. Something involving fresh broccoli, salmon, rice, potatoes, and lettuce, because those are the things about to pass their prime in our fridge.

Mary Chris, did you make the Hillbilly Spaghetti in an iron skillet?
I would like to try the recipe in my large skillet that is not iron - I don't know if I can put it under the broiler though - it is a Calphalon (aluminum) skillet. Can I do that?

Baguettes are in oven. Definitely making pasta e fagioli soup to go with the bread. Spaghetti pie sure looked good, though!

Something involving ground beef. We've been eating a lot of pork and chicken lately. It can't be spaghetti, or another pasta. And it can't be chili.
Or hamburgers.
I was thinking Mexican.

potato soup I think.. it's very good with garlic bread and I want garlic bread.. just have to decide if I want to make italian bread and toast with butter and garlic or make garlic quick bread... hmmmmm
and I need to thank whoever mwentioned "pink sauce".. adding cream to spaghetti sauce.. dh had mentioned spaghetti sounded good but I tend to put it off because so few kids will eat the sauce.. but then I was in the store and saw some cream marked down ($1.55 for a quart!!) because it was dated that day.. so I quickly decided to make spaghetti that night and insisted everyone try it.. and only the 2 pickiest children didn't like it.. it was wonderful

I did not use cast iron, but the pan I did use is stainless steel. I'm not sure about auuminum in the oven. I am thinking about investing in some cast iron skillets though.

Pork chops, rice and a vegetable. Not sure what though. Maybe dessert although we usually don't do dessert very often.
