Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

(not sure if this is the right place to post - please move if needed) - but if you take a survey at Homeschool Freebie of the Day today you can get this free on PDF (it is awesome - we have wanted it for ages, but had used up our budget)

Also a really nice poetry book as the freebie today - nice to print out for copywork etc

I didn't click on Homeschool Freebie, but this book is available at Feeding America: The Historic American Cookbook Project website:
The Mary Frances Cook Book by Jane Eayre Fryer. You can download a .pdf file, .html or .xml or view the page images.

Reserve a chunk of time to view the other cookbooks they offer -- it's quite a variety with a lot of potential for using it for a rabbit trail or home economics or American History. I particularly love the books like "The Frugal Housewife" or "The Good Housekeeper" or "The Practical Housekeeper" -- lots of good stuff there!
