Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

We do roast chicken fairly often and I am really interested in getting one of these. If you have one, do you use it often and do you like it?

We have one and I hardly ever use it. I really had good intentions of using it when I insisted that we needed one. We have a George Foreman. When I do use it I like it. Just one of my many flaws is forgetting to take things out to defrost. Truly, I think I have some sort of whole chicken phobia, I buy them and then they just sit in my freezer.

We were given a rotisserie.
We use it at least once a week. Two small chickens fit nicely.
Love it!

I have one and I use it quite a bit. There is a hazard though...we tend to want to inhale the chicken right then and there once done. It is impossible to wait and serve plates because it is sooo scrumptiously delicious!

Well, that settles it. This is going on my wish list. It just tastes so much better this way than roasted. Thanks, everyone.

Well, here's another twist...we had one but got rid of it because it was a hassle to clean.     But the chicken did taste wonderful!

I guess I need to get over my whole chicken phobia and use mine more often.

LOL Lisa.

Mary Chris, I had a whole chicken phobia too. Then we decided to raise our own poultry for the freezer last fall and, well...I had to get over my phobia! I either roast them or make chicken soup with them. But I really like rotisserie better, and it seems like it'd be a good way to make chicken to use later in other things, too. My chickens are big, from 5-10 lbs, so one will feed us plus some leftovers. I was so used to having bags of boneless skinless something or other so it was definitely a change for us. But I like it now.
