Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I know this has been discussed, but my computer doesn't like the search feature.

My washer is not working and if I can't get a repair guy out here before Christmas Eve, we will probably just buy a new one. I don't think I can afford a front-loader and have also heard that they aren't the best for washing diapers. Any opinions on that?

Tell me if you love your washer and why. Tell me if you hate your washer, too!

We have hard well water and I can't seem to get anything clean enough with my current washer. I am hoping to find something better that we can still afford.

I have a Whirlpool Duet front loader. I wash in very hard water. I love it.

I wash my diapers in there and I do like it very much. My only complaint is that I can't soak like I used to in my top loader. There is a pre-soak feature (which soaks items for 30 minutes), but it's not the same as just loading the machine, filling it and pulling the knob out and letting it sit there. But...making up for that is the sanitary cycle which I love and use often!!!

I love the added volume to wash more as well. I wouldn't trade the ole' front loading girl for anything! Good luck on the search!

What is it about all the appliances going out for everyone before Christmas?

In case it's helpful, here's the previous thread -- we still have the Siemens, and still happy with it!

Well, God heard my rather desperate plea. The repairman came, had the right part, and Molly's Laundromat is back in business!

I will bookmark these threads for future reference. I'm just so glad not to need them today!
