Original Irish Cream Recipe
I haven't made this yet but I'm sharing it now because...
I found this recipe by chance and just thinking about it has made me smile...
This girl with lots of Irish blood is humbled because it never dawned on me that this was possible...
The holidays are soon upon us and the possibilities are endless...
Love,

Angie! We were just talking about this the other day at a homeschool function! I also used to have a recipe for homemade hot buttered rum mix which was amazing (had ice cream and butter and brown sugar ... definitely NOT for those trying to "slim")
I've made the Baileys before and it really is good!

Oh, and Mary, I would LOVE the hot buttered rum recipe if you can track it down. Pina colada weather has long since passed.

My mother has made Irish cream for many years...they love it. I'm not a drinker, so I can't give the first-hand rating, but the family really enjoys it!

Thanks for the reminder, Angie. This has been on my list for years to make for gifts, and this may just be the year! I first chanced upon it at Gardenweb (of all places) -- some people there are passionate about their liqueurs!
Oooh, and I second the request for the hot buttered rum too, Mary...

Thanks for posting the hot buttered rum recipe, Mary. Yum!
Stef, will I ever find a recipe that you haven't heard of ? Am I on your Christmas gift list ?
Love,

As I would have said as a teen, Angie, Holy Cow. I am so in on this recipe... as soon as this election is over. Will need it to either celebrate or mourn the outcome!.
