I used to be a devoted fan of Spray 'n Wash stain stick stain remover. That stuff was like a miracle product. I got out old, set-in grease stains and everything else and preserved my clothes for a long time. But the stain stick in that brand is no longer available and the spray formula is "All New" and completely ineffective.

Anyone have something that works really well? I prefer something as natural as possible (homemade is fine, too) but mostly I just want something that works.

I'm not sure what's going on with the Spray 'n Wash stain stick. It's still listed as a product on the Spray 'n Wash website, and I can still find it in my area, but it's no longer in stores where my mom lives.

I have not found anything else that works as well, especially in my hard water. You can still buy the Spray 'n Wash stain stick online. That's probably what I'd do if I were you. Stock up on the stain stick while you can, and keep searching for an alternative.

I find Zout to work better than the spray n wash or shout or the like. But I haven't used the stain sticks for comparison to that.

Hmm . . although this also has "Resolve Power" which seems to be their new formula. Maybe I should just get one and make sure it still works.

I use BioKleen's Bac Out and it works wonders on food stains - it cleaned blueberry mess with minimal rubbing from dd's dress and my carpet    It takes out chocolate ice cream from ds's shirts    It's a winner around here!

Did you know you can just pour boiling water over berry stains? This worked for my daughter white dress. The stain just disappears. I was a skeptic when I first heard this.

I have only used this once, but it got out old stains of unknown substances and dirt(mostly) from my son's baseball pants. I will definitely try it again. Also, it's cheap!

Another vote for Fels Naphtha here - just be careful, as it can remove dyes. I've only had that happen once, though, and I've used it a LOT.
