Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I am looking to make a Mother Teresa doll outfit. I understand the scarf comes off the head and over the shoulder but can't seem to get the right dimensions. Has anyone ever done this before. I am trying to fit the outfit to an 18" doll. Any help would be appreciated. Valerie

I made a Mother Theresa costume for my daughter for All Saints Day. When it came to the veil, I just used a long piece of muslin. I pinned one corner around the back of her neck to the length of fabric at the other side and then let the whole piece drape down to her ankles then pulled it up and pinned it again at her shoulder.

We have a doll that can be seen here. I measured her veil which is draped the same way as I described. It is 32 inches long by 16 inches wide. She is a 16" doll though, not 18" so you might make it a little longer. Hope that helps.

This is so lovely!! Did you add ribbon for the blue stripes? I was thinking of making a little collection of holy habits for my dd for Christmas (for her doll)

...maybe even a dress up trunk with a few for her and some biblical-type costumes and props for impromptu plays

I am still trying to envision making this particular habit...maybe I should just try doing it with material and see how it lays...should I add velcro to the back of the veil to keep it on??

God love you!

Oh my gosh. I saw that on your site today. That is what inspired me to make the habit. Thank you so much for your measurements. Hopefully I can have it done by the 5th of September.

Blessing, Valerie
