Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I didn't get to my windows yet. I have the drop inside kind, which is nice. But I'm not sure how to tackle this. I'll have to do a few windows or just one window at a time, but want the materials easily available.

This article in Today's Washington PostThe Squeegee Divided made me wonder, what's your approach?

Squeegee? Microfiber cloths?

Surgical cloths, now where can I find those!?

We just use a soft cloth and the "homemade windex" -- I think Elizabeth posted the amonnia, alcohol, water and tea tree oil recipe a year or so back ... the way to get it streak/lint free is to ball up newspaper and do the final wipe with that! Seriously, a tip one of my brothers learned at Annapolis when they had to get their mirrors/windows cleaned in their rooms

Anne.. I was going to say "close the curtains"

OK when I do get around to it.. there's two big things.. don't leave any soap residue (I rarely use anything except plain water).. and rub it dry.. whether you use newspaper or just a cloth.. it's the rubbing dry that keeps it streak-free.

I don't know--I used a squeegee on the windows I could reach when we moved into this house--but as dusty as it is here, it doesn't matter. They get dirty again so quickly, well, I look forward to the day when I have those windows like yours (mine are old metal trimmed ones, a PITB to deal with when it comes to cleaning).
