My son and his grandpa are having a debate. Ds says he likes ketchup on his hotdog. Grandpa says no, only mustard belongs on a hotdog(of course I chimed in with chili, cheese and slaw). I thought this would be a fun poll.
So, tell me...What's on your dog???

Hmm...I tried to make it so you could do multiple choices, but it isn't letting me for some reason. Can anyone fix that for me?
ETA: Ok, I see now. You have to cast a vote for each item individually, but you can cast as many votes as you want.

Probably sounds wierd, but I'm a ketchup, mustard and sourkraut kinda girl. I didn't notice any other votes for kraut. Is that just a Pittsburgh thing? I live in N. VA now, but was born and raised in the Pittsburgh area.

for the boys...ketchup and mayo
except one, who prefers mustard and relish
When we lived in Costa Rica and I taught in a bilingual school, my boys ordered hot dogs every day for lunch, because "perro caliente" was the one thing they could remember how to say

I'd go for a white hot (Zweigle's, of course) with Zab's hot sauce, or right now Gulden's spicy mustard or Nance's (It's similar to a Dijon). Miss Margaret limits the amount of spicy foods I can eat.

Spicy mustard, sauerkraut, and relish (both dill and sweet if possible.) - and chopped onions too, and maybe some ketchup.

okay...
back in my teeny-tiny Catholic Elementary school, Thursday was Hot Dog Day (usually we had to bring on our lunches, but on Tuesdays and Thursdays, they had lunches you could buy.)
We got home little slips a few days prior, and you had to pick what you wanted on it (I guess to be sure they had enough toppings.) The choices were:
Plain
Ketchup
Mustard
Mustard & Sauerkraut
That was it. Those were the choices.
Well, I always ate mine with ketchup & mustard. There was no checkbox for that. But my mom always checked both, and so I got to go in both lines to get ketchup & mustard. My 3rd grade teacher, Sister Elise, sighed at me every single time I handed in that slip. There was NO LINE in the cafeteria for "ketchup & mustard."

Yes, coleslaw is what I meant. I think it is a southern thing to put it on a hotdog. Of course then it is called a slawdog.

Brown Stadium Mustard is all I have eaten on my hotdogs since I was a little girl. Can't stand that bright yellow stuff. :)

Do you eat the hotdog the SAME every time? I have to admit, I always like it different, depending on the dog, and where I am, and if I'm pregnant or not! I am a ketchup and mustard kind of gal, but if I am at the right place, I could go for some cheese, and onions. Now, I will do ketchup alone before I will do mustard alone. But I will eat it that way if it is brought to me.
Anyone ever see the different kinds of hotdogs show around the US? Now that makes me hungry!

Oh my goodness, I can't believe I even started to read that thread. WHAT was I thinking  ???. I don't even like hot dogs under the best of circumstances. The only time I come close to a hot dog is when Mary Chris makes brats.

Brats or other German Style Sausage and Italian Sausage are as close to a hot dogs as I get also.
My guys love them though, and I think both ds's eat them with ketchup, dh probably eats them with kethup and mustard.
I don't think I've had a hot dog in thirty years.

Growing up I ate them with ketchup, mustard and sweet pickle relish. My kids eat them with ketchup...when we eat them, which isn't often.
