Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I made the mistake of leaving some writing on our white board for months and now I'm having a hard time getting it clean. When the eraser didn't work, I tried white board cleaner which hardly touches it. Any suggestions? Is it ruined?

Martha,
Ours has been written on and written on and drawn on, etc. We use the cleaner too and I haven't tried giving it a good scrub.

Would vinager do it?

Perhaps spraying it with 409 or Lysol cleaner and letting it sit awhile before wiping clean.

If you can do it in a well ventilated area, rubbing alcohol has always worked well for us. Watch the fumes, though!

Rubbing alcohol is good.

I think any alcohol will work...just in case you have some tequila or rum sitting around...I had a bad experience with this in my young "wild" waitressing youth.      So I don't recommend this method if you have a hangover said totally tongue in cheek!

We also use the small individually wrapped squares of rubbing alcohol. We had them leftover from ds' treatment days. Those worked really well!

If you are a Magic Clean Eraser fan, that is what I use! Works beautifully!

It is either turps or metho that does the trick. I'm just waiting for dh to email back and tell me which. I can never remember and always have to ask him.

Haven't tried it, but I read from Barker Creek, a company that sells 'em, that you can: spray with mild window or multi-surface cleaner and wipe dry with paper towel. They say that many commercial white board cleaners actually complromise the erasing qualities of many types of white boards.

The other hint they have is for cleaning marker (even permanent, they claim!!) is to write over the spots with a dry erase marker and immediately wipe them off.

Good luck with this!
