I saw The Sneaky Chef
featured in Family Fun magazine and thought it was a great idea. Not that I want to trick my family into eating better, but with dd's allergies and restricted diet, I need all the help I can get.

Tonight I made pancakes. The batter contained: whole wheat flour, carrots, sweet potatoes, oat milk and chopped pecans. Everyone ate them right down, no questions asked.

I ordered the book several days ago. I hope it has lots of other great recipes!

A friend of mine bought this book and made chocolate chip cookies with spinach in them. My dh had some and said he couldn't even taste the spinach. He also said they were green!    I've found I've been able to sneak veggies in more things lately without anyone noticing.

How do you know the ratio MacBeth? Can you give an example? I have heard of apple sauce in say banana bread, but I don't get how to know how much to use.

I have been using applesauce for years, also, in exchange for some of the fat. If the recipe calls for a cup of oil, I might do half applesauce and half oil. I usually make it an even exchange. What do others do?

I'm pretty bold. I use a 1:1 ratio for quick breads and brownies, with no problems. I do still grease the pan if the recipe calls for it, though. I don't think applesauce has that non-stick quality we look for.
