Can't wait to hear the responses! I wake up HUNGRY every night between 1-3am. I have also noticed that I am starting to have a few lows in my blood sugar, just based on feeling. So I guess I need to eat more of something at just the right time.

cheese and meat together.. not necessarily sliced lunch meats.. but rolling (or stacking) a bit of meat and cheese together is easy and a bit salty and high protein.

Peanut butter! On anything, even a spoon, and I think that helps with "sticking" a little better, if you will pardon the pun.
Cheese and crackers (I couldn't eat the cheese alone) is what I used to have right before bed to keep the nausea away in the AM.
That is all I can think of right now. Goodness, is that what I lived on for 3 months?

oh.. one of the few times I will buy frozen burritos is when I'm in the first trimester ickies.. the bean burritos sit well for whatever weird reason. Plus I can just toss one in the toaster oven and not have to think about cooking. That always helps.

hummus and baby carrots
cheese, crackers and pepperoni
whole grain toast
those are my current favorites while we await Margaret's arrival around 7/16.
God bless,

10 am 1/2 apple in thin slices with thin slices of specialty cheese
3 pm This suggestion that Leonie made on the fitness blog:
"I got this from Bill Phillip's "Eating for Life"
Chocolate Peanut Butter Oatmeal
P.S. You can leave out the chocolate - its just there for extra taste and to make you feel wicked! lol!
For each person -
1/2 cup rolled oats
1 teaspoon cocoa or drinking chocolate
1/2 - 1 tablespoon reduced fat peanut butter
1 cup water
Opt - scoop protein powder.
Mix all ingredients in a bowl and microwave for two minutes on High. Serve with skim ( fat free ) milk. Very, very nice - you feel like you are eating dessert for breakfast but you are also getting fibre and protein. It's very filling and is my reward breakfast when I am hungry after a tough workout. :-)"
9 pm pb and banana on whole wheat toast. Optional milk.
